Joe Cheaib Legacy Fund

On September 7, 2020, we lost a true leader with the passing of Joe Cheaib.

Joe was the epitome of a gentleman - never without a smile on his face, he had an exceptionally kind disposition that always made everyone around him feel valued and appreciated. His enthusiasm, generosity of spirit and sense of community permeated everything he did as an entrepreneur, restaurateur, philanthropist, volunteer, and particularly as a friend.

The Board of Directors of the Cedars Cancer Foundation at the McGill University Health Centre will for ever be thankful and will never forget his commitment to assuring that cancer patients benefit from the latest in research, treatments and patient-care.

Above all, Joe was a family man through and through. It is therefore with the profound sense of loss his loved ones are feeling that Cedars extends its deepest condolences to Joe's wife, Teresa, their daughter Emilia and son Peter, as well as all of Joe's siblings, family and friends.

We have lost a pillar of our board, a friend and a great human being. We will forever remember him.
