I am, since June, have begun my journey with breast cancer.  I am at the Cedars Cancer Center several times a week.  It is my home away from home for this next year.  I see first hand the dedication of all working members and volunteers, the access I have to needed resources, receiving treatment that has my wellbeing and quality of life as TOP priority.  Dragon Boat is my sport, and will compete on the circuit again soon, but for this year, I am racing this one race for my wellbeing.  If you know the boat, you will see me at the drum, motivating my team to dig deep in their hearts and souls to bring us all to the finish line. 

This year, I will be taking part in the 20th Annual BDO Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race to help raise awareness and much needed funds for Cedars CanSupport, who provide free, supportive care to cancer patients and their families at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). 
 

Cancer patients and their families face challenges every day and my efforts combined with donations from my friends will support them when they are at their most vulnerable.
