This year, our team Fondation Bullpen Capital X CI Assante Wealth Management is proud to take part in the 20th Annual BDO Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race, raising awareness and much-needed funds for Cedars CanSupport. This incredible organization offers free, compassionate support to cancer patients and their families at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

Our team is made up of colleagues, friends, and family—coming together not just to race, but to make a difference.

Approximately 2 in 5 Canadians are expected to develop cancer during their lifetime and almost everyone knows someone they hold dearly that went through a battle. As team captain, this cause holds deep meaning for me. My mother, Lizanne, was diagnosed with cancer when I was very young and sadly passed away when I was 17. The support we received from the community, friends, and family during that time was something I will never forget. It gave me strength when I needed it most, and now I hope to pay it forward by helping others feel that same sense of comfort and care.

Every dollar raised helps Cedars CanSupport provide services like psychosocial care, transportation, and wellness programs—offering hope and humanity in times of crisis.
