Sarah and I are thrilled to serve as co-chairs for this milestone 20th Annual BDO Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race. Together with our team - the Karelinators - we'll be paddling on the Lachine Canal to raise vital funds and shine a spotlight on Cedars CanSupport's incredible work.
Cedars CanSupport provides free, compassionate care to cancer patients and their families at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). These are services that are not provided by the provincial or federal governments but which are crucial as patients go through the difficult and often lonely journey of a battle against cancer.
This year is especially close to our hearts. As many of you know, Sarah's father, Karel "the Karelinator" Nemec, is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer. We are paddling in his honor, and will of course also be joined by Jane "the Miracle" Guest who battled through her own bout with lung cancer at the MUHC in 2018.
