If you’ve landed here, chances are you already know and love Ernie - and you know that even cancer and a stroke haven’t stopped him from doing what he does best: showing up for others.

For years, Ernie has been a proud supporter of the Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race, rallying his community to raise critical funds for cancer care and patient support. His annual fundraising emails became something of a tradition,  filled with heartfelt messages, a few classic dad jokes, and an unwavering call to action.

This year, the mission is more personal than ever.

In December, Ernie was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The same night as his first chemotherapy treatment, he suffered a stroke, which led to aphasia, a condition that impacts his ability to speak and write. But even with these new challenges, one thing hasn’t changed: his determination to give back.

He was clear from the start - this fundraiser had to go on.

This year, Ernie set a goal: to raise $36,000 for Cedars.

Every donation helps provide comfort, care, and critical support to patients and their families during the hardest times of their lives.
