To celebrate the arrival of our baby, we've chosen a cause close to our hearts. Instead of a traditional baby shower, we'll be running 2km to help raise funds for DOvEEGene (DOvEE: Diagnosis Ovarian and Endometrial cancers Early), a research initiative dedicated to the early diagnosis of ovarian and endometrial cancers.

As a breast cancer survivor and BRCA1 carrier, and with several important people in both of our families who also carry, or carried, BRCA1, this mission is especially close to our hearts. Some of these family members are no longer with us, and it is in their memory, as well as for future generations, that we support this work.
