Almost a year ago, I was diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer. I was lucky—it was caught early and treated successfully. Many women aren’t as fortunate, which is why this cause is so close to my heart. On October 19, I’ll be running 10K in the Cedars Run for Ovarian Cancer to raise funds for the DOvEEgene Research Program, which is working to make early detection possible for more women.
